These songs cut to the quick and the bone, mostly impulsive, sometimes lurking, but always powerful and music-wise as vividly as skilled. With NACHTMAHR, we offer you old troopers as guides for your exploration of the night side-the night side which inspired foreboding characters such as Lord Byron and Georg Trakl to put their confrontations with death and the devil into verse. None of Black Metal's bastards ever were able to bring Eichendorff's observation ". and everything is unto death" so starkly and bitterly to the point as NACHTMAHR do. But make up your own mind. 'Trollnacht' and marks the beginning of a new chapter for this mysterious group - in terms of the subject matter, but mainly music-wise. A concentration of intense, dramatic atmosphere, magical-moody Black Metal, complemented by two apparently contrasting voices and dramatic keyboards. 'Trollnacht' is part of a cycle called "Trollzauber".
