DORNENREICH: News concerning "Flammentriebe" - 2010/07/20

DORNENREICH issue the following news concerning their upcoming album "Flammentriebe": "In a few days we will enter Markus Stock's Studio E to start the recordings for our new album 'Flammentriebe'. We will stay busy with the elaboration of this very album until the end of the year. 'Flammentriebe' will contain eight songs which will combine a dramatic black metal fundament with fiercely flaming violins and voices in a unique way. Multifaceted, passionate and way more grasping than ever before we will express our vision of existential and authentic black metal in the fifteenth year of our existence as DORNENREICH. However, 'Flammentriebe' might be the last album that we will build on a metal instrumentation ..."

LANTLÔS: Recordings of third album to start soon - 2010/07/20

LANTLÔS' second album, ".neon", has just been released a few weeks ago, but the duo consisting of Herbst and ALCEST frontman Neige seems restless. Already on July 23 the guys will enter Iheartsound studio (Bielefeld, Germany) in order to record their third album. Herbst gives us a few insights into the band's new material: "I think with our new album we'll tread new paths for LANTLÔS, both musically and conceptually. In general, the upcoming album will be very vanguard and rather unaccessible and the black metal vibe will be gone almost entirely. Still the record will be much darker than its predecessors, nihilistic, and strange. It'll be bulky, ugly and will feed off its listeners."
If you want to assure yourself of the parasitic qualities of LANTLÔS' new album, please be patient. The yet untitled album is at the moment scheduled for a 2011 release.

ALCEST: Short status update - 2010/07/20

Approx. four months after the release of the highly acclaimed "Écailles De Lune" and subsequent tours, Neige gives a short status update for ALCEST: "After having crossed Europe and North America with ALCEST, Fursy will unfortunately not be able to keep on playing bass live with us due to a lack of time. I guess we will play again together when he will start making concerts with LES DISCRETS - I can't wait for that! However, a new bass player already joined us: Indria. He will be a part of the ALCEST live line-up from our upcoming shows in Finland on. Apart from that I am already working on the next album, which will be recorded in January/February 2011."

TENHI: News concerning "Saivo" and back catalogue re-releases - 2010/07/02

TENHI, the masters of nature-attuned Northern music, break their silence and release the following news concerning their fifth full-length album "Saivo" and re-releases of their back catalogue:

"Sorry for the sparse updates about 'Saivo'. We hoped to get the album out this summer and didn't want to disappoint you before all hope was gone. Despite the hopefully final delays, the album is well underway and the final parts are being recorded within couple of weeks, namely choirs and cello parts. We plan to finish our works on the album by the end of August eventually. 'Saivo' has taken its time and we didn't want to rush it. Almost every of the song has gone through a huge variety of alternative arrangements until we felt that we had achieved best result.

Another excellent news is that Prophecy Productions will re-release all our previous full-length albums ('Kauan', 'Väre', 'Airut:aamujen', and 'Maaäet') with special and significantly enhanced booklets and artwork. Stay tuned for more information about these re-issues!"

This year will see the release of "Alternative Matter", a 10th anniversary collection of rare and unreleased acoustic versions, demos, live versions, remixes and new recordings of ANTIMATTER material. The 24 track double album will be released in two versions - a deluxe digipack and a strictly limited edition 4-disc premium artbook containing a bonus DVD and EP. More details to follow.

HEKATE: Recordings for new album "Die Welt der dunklen Gärten" completed - 2010/05/26

HEKATE have just finished the recordings for their new album "Die Welt der dunklen Gärten". Not only the line-up but also the music of the band will be going back to the mystic roots of HEKATE's earlier works to enthrall the listener with its impressive atmosphere. Four years after their last album, "Die Welt der dunklen Gärten" will see its release on Auerbach Tonträger later this year. More details to follow.

SOL INVICTUS: New single available for Wave Gotik Treffen - 2010/05/11

The new 7" single by SOL INVICTUS, "The Bad Luck Bird", will be released in time for this year's Wave Gotik Treffen (May 21st to 24th). This precursor to the 15th studio album by SOL INVICTUS, "The Cruellest Month", is limited to 500 copies and features the songs 'The Bad Luck Bird' and 'Stella Maris' – the first new material released by the band since four years.
